Setelah lama hidup dalam keterbatasan di Pekalongan, Sita, seorang ibu tunggal, mendapat pekerjaan di rumah sakit Semarang. Di tengah perjalanan, bus mereka mogok dan sejak itu hidup Gendis berubah.
