Kim Dok-ja (Ahn Hyo-seop) adalah satu-satunya pembaca dari sebuah web novel berjudul Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse. Setelah sepuluh tahun, cerita itu pun berakhirâ??namun Kim membenci akhir ceritanya. Ketika ia meluapkan kekecewaannya, dunia apokaliptik dalam novel itu menjadi nyata, dan sang pahlawan, Yu Jung-hyeok (Lee Min-ho), muncul. Berbekal pengetahuannya tentang cerita tersebut, Kim bekerja sama dengan Yu untuk mengubah akhir cerita dan menyelamatkan dunia.
